Residuals from the wastewater cleaning process will be made safe for beneficial reuse in anaerobic digesters. The bottom cone of one of the two digesters is clearly visible in this photo. The digester walls will be formed once the earth is backfilled to ground level - just above the blue insulating panels. Shaped like tall cylinders, the digesters will produce methane gas that will be used in boilers to heat two of the largest buildings on the site.
