Drinking Water Quality

Loudoun Water provides drinking water that meets all the standards required by the Safe Drinking Water Act, which is enforced by the Virginia Department of Health. Your water is tested and monitored for chemical and bacteriological constituents on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis. The City of Fairfax and the Fairfax Water test the water prior to distributing it to us and then we conduct further testing, such as bacteriological analysis (total coliform), disinfection by-products (total trihalomethanes) and lead and copper.

Please refer to the water quality reports, which are mailed each June, for further information related to Loudoun Water's drinking water quality.
