Loudoun Water's Preferred Irrigation Program is currently in hiatus for 2011

The purpose of Loudoun Water’s Preferred Irrigation Contractor program is to work with local irrigation contractors who are doing business in Loudoun to help customers save money and protect the environment by ensuring irrigations systems are designed well, maintained properly, and meet required permits to protect the potable water supply. This program highlights the contractors who, in our view, are doing all these things well.

As part of the program, contractors furnish Loudoun Water with proof of their Loudoun County Business License, their Certified Irrigation Contractor or Designer certificate, a letter from EPA confirming their participation in EPA’s WaterSense program, they attend irrigation system training at Loudoun Water, and they sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Loudoun Water to show a commitment of partnership in smart water use. 

As with any contractor, homeowners are encouraged to research irrigation companies before making their decision. The designation as a Loudoun Water Preferred Irrigation Contractor does not create a partnership, joint venture, joint adventure, employment or agency relationship between the Irrigation Contractor and Loudoun Water nor does such designation otherwise permit the Irrigation Contractor to represent or act on behalf of Loudoun Water.
