Purpose: The Courtland Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) was originally constructed to treat wastewater from the Courtland Rural Village community.  In 2017, in an effort to consolidate operations, Loudoun Water implemented a phased construction approach to connect the Courtland community to Loudoun Water’s Central Wastewater Collection System, allowing the Courtland WRF to be decommissioned.  The Courtland Pump Station project is the final element of the phased construction and will provide for long-term management of wastewater from the Courtland community.

Project Description: The project includes construction of a new permanent pump station, gravity sewer to bring flow to the pump station, emergency storage, and control and electrical buildings.  Once construction is complete, the existing interim facilities and remaining WRF will be decommissioned and demolished by the contractor.
