Purpose: To improve the reliability of the wastewater treatment plant, upgrades to the electrical components is necessary. The plant was constructed in 1980 and as such the electrical equipment has reached or is close to reaching the end of its useful lifespan. Upgrades will improve the functionality, reliability and operability of the plant now and for the future.
Project Description: The project begins with the demolition and removal of the existing generator, equipment pad, fuel tank and motor control center. Upon the removal of the outdated equipment, new up to date equipment will be installed. The new equipment includes an automatic transfer switch, motor control center, new lighting in the building, portable generator connection and all associated electrical components needed to complete the system.
