The Sterling Pipe Project is comprised of three individual projects grouped as one bid package. The projects include the W. Beech, Colonial, and Concord Watermain Replacements, E. Maple Avenue Waterline Replacement, and E. Beech Rd. Sewer Relocation. The W. Beech, Colonial, and Concord Watermain Replacements project includes the removal of approximately 4,000 linear feet (LF) of 3-inch to 12-inch cast iron water main and replacement with 6-inch to 12-inch ductile iron water main. The work includes the removal and replacement of existing residential service lines and temporary construction bypass piping to keep those residences in service while construction takes place.

The E. Maple Avenue Waterline Replacement includes the relocation of approximately 600 LF of 12-inch water main, transfer of two service connections, and abandonment of existing water mains near the intersection of East Maple Avenue and Circle Drive. The project will also require crossing two 26-inch gas transmission mains.

The E. Beech Rd. Sewer Relocation project includes the relocation of approximately 200 LF of 10-inch sewer crossing a small unnamed tributary and the construction of three manholes. The work will also require riprap channel armoring, sanitary sewer bypass pumping, and stream bypass pumping.

The project is expected to be bid in Summer 2022.
