The OWML is an innovative partnership between Virginia Tech's Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality, and public water supply and water reclamation agencies, including Loudoun Water, plus city and county governments, and private consulting firms in Northern Virginia. The lab's mission is to support human and ecosystem health, by developing and testing cutting-edge transdisciplinary solutions to emerging water quality challenges, using the Occoquan Reservoir in Northern Virginia as our experimental testbed.
