COVID-19 MUNICIPAL UTILITY RELIEF PROGRAM - Eligible customer must apply on or before December 1, 2021 (this has been extended from the original deadline, December 30, 2020).

Loudoun Water is committed to assisting customers who may be facing financial hardships due to the coronavirus pandemic. If you need help paying your bill due to the pandemic, we encourage you to request payment assistance through the COVID-19 Municipal Utility Relief Program. Loudoun Water is working with the County of Loudoun to administer funds received from the Commonwealth of Virginia’s COVID-19 Municipal Utility Relief Program to provide financial relief for customers in need.

To qualify for this option, you must attest that you are experiencing financial hardship due to the coronavirus public health emergency and submit an application to Loudoun Water on or before December 1, 2021. These funds will be administered in accordance with the requirements of the Commonwealth. PLEASE NOTE: CARES Act  funds will only be available until all funds have been exhausted.

Under the Utility Relief Program, utility customers who meet the following criteria will be eligible to receive utility relief assistance that could lower the amounts you owe for water and/or wastewater services during March 2020 through December 2021. Customer eligibility criteria are as follows:

  • The Customer’s water and wastewater bills for service between March 2020 and December 2021 are more than 30 days past due;
  • The Customer has experienced an economic hardship resulting directly or indirectly from the COVID19 pandemic; and
  • The Customer has not previously received CARES Act assistance. Please note these funds will only be available until all funds have been exhausted. Funding is designed to be a one-time opportunity, with only one direct assistance payment per household.
