Loudoun Water, a public utility with a vision for the future is seeking a highly motivated, forward thinking SCADA System Developer (Analyst) with design and problem-solving skills ready to assist in bringing a unique vision of data visualization and situational awareness to the water industry. 

Our Developers (Analyst) configure and implement industrial control system solutions for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Supervisory, Control, and Data Acquisition (SCADA), building automation, and process control. Successful candidates will possess ladder logic and function block programming, graphics development, alarm management, and systems integration experience. Familiarity with SCADA software (Wonderware, ICONICS, FactoryTalk Studio, etc.)  and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).

Knowledge of network infrastructure management, server/workstation support, and cyber security is a plus. Candidates with strong programming experience may be considered.

Requirements: Minimum two years of college-level coursework computer control systems and networking; with one year progressive experience in industrial control systems; preferably in water distribution and sewer utility operations.  Individuals with extensive utility experience associated with SCADA systems and process control programming in water distribution and sewer utility operations are highly desired. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of networking, SCADA applications, and/or PLC’s.  Ability to work “on-call” status and/or overtime as needed.
