Project Status In Construction This project includes decommissioning the existing lagoons and replacing them with a new wastewater treatment plant that includes primary, secondary, and tertiary treatment processes to treat wastewater from the Village of Waterford. The new wastewater treatment plant will be enclosed in a building designed to match the surrounding architecture. Purpose: This project is required to meet Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (VDEQ) regulatory requirements for ammonia removal from wastewater.Project Fact Sheet
